The Granny Smith Apple offers a sharp and tart flavor that is the most popular for making apple pie and does well with savory dishes such as baking with pork chops and retains its shape when cooked.

Jonagolds Apples are derived from Golden Delicious and Jonathan apples. They have a sweet and tart taste, hold up well for cooking and another preferred apple to for baking a pie.
